Ours was inspired by something else entirely.
Growing up, our backyard calamansi tree produced fruit that fully ripened on the branch. As the fruit turned from green to orange, it developed a softer sweetness while still keeping its signature citrus brightness.
That memory became the inspiration for Ellexir’s Calamansi flavor.
Instead of recreating the sharp, sour calamansi found in concentrates and extracts, we set out to capture the flavor of ripe calamansi at its peak—bright, refreshing, and naturally balanced.
